Locals don’t have to travel far to enjoy the outdoors and be active. Even in urban hubs, there plenty of opporunties to get outside. In Hoboken, Jersey City, and beyond, there are 15 different community running clubs happening seasonally or year-round, providing a great way to meet new people and a chance to meet those daily movement goals. Hoboken Running Clubs

EMPOWERED MOVEMENT: Run Club

EMPOWERED MOVEMENT: Run Club is a women-focused community group founded by Hoboken resident and fitness expert, Nikki On The Daily. The club meets at Cafe Tati, located at 401 Bloomfield Street, every Tuesday at 7:15AM and Wednesday at 6:30PM for group runs ranging between two to five miles. Fleet Feet Running Club

Fleet Feet is a sports store in Hoboken at 604 Washington Street that provides running gear, advice, and a running club to the community. The Fleet Feet Running Club runs Wednesday evenings at 7PM all year long and is always welcoming new runners. Walkers, run/walkers, runners, and triathletes attend each Wednesday, making it an event for people of all strengths. Learn more here.

Hoboken Harriers

The Hoboken Harriers Running Club (also known as HOHA) was founded in 1988 and is running strong today. The group runs generally four times weekly, and the courses vary based on mileage. The nice part about it is that they always make sure that no runner is ever left behind — even if you’re slower. Runners of all levels and ages are welcome, in addition to 5K walkers for certain events. Learn more here.

Hoboken Track Club

The Hoboken Track Club meets every Thursday for its Community Pub Run, which is open to runners of all levels. The group meets at 7PM in the upstairs of Black Bear Bar + Grill, located at 205 Washington Street, then runs four miles together along the Hoboken Waterfront. After the run, the group returns to Black Bear Bar + Grill for food, drinks, and socialization.

Gold Coast Triathlon Club

The Gold Coast Triathlon Club is a non-profit dedicated to growing athletes’ abilities. Club members are mentored, learn through group training sessions, and socialize with one another inside and outside of the group. Members also practice swimming and biking so they can participate in triathlons in the future. Track workouts take place every Tuesday morning at the Weehawken Track, located at 1 Port Imperial Boulevard. Attendees meet at Park + 9th at 5:45AM, and track runs start at 6AM. Runners High Run Club

The Runners High Run Club first launched in March 2025. The group meets every Friday at MOJO Coffee Company, located at 801 Bloomfield Street, for community runs and caffeine. Locals can sign up to join the club at this link and visit its Instagram for more details.

YogaRenew’s Yogging Club 

If you haven’t heard of the term ‘yogging’, it’s a term that mixes yoga + running together. YogaRenew hosts a 3-mile group run combined with a 10-minute group stretch. It takes place on different days and times, so it’s best to stay updated on the website or YogaRenew’s Instagram.

Vitalizer Run Club

Vitalizer Run Club believes that this group is more than just training — the organizers and participants center their focus around creating connections, nurturing growth, and thriving with others who share a passion for improvement. The club meets every Saturday at 9AM at the Pier A Park gazebo, providing a great way to kickstart the weekend. Learn more here.

 


 

Jersey City Running Clubs

Chilltown Street Club

Formerly Powerhouse Street Club, Chilltown Street Club was created to make friends, build a welcoming running community open to all levels of runners, and support local businesses, per the club’s founder, Darshan Rangnath. This group not only goes on runs, but also hosts biking, meditation, and yoga classes. See upcoming dates and times here.

The Grind Society Run Club

The Grind Society hosts three free run clubs, open to all levels, throughout the week. On Tuesdays at 7PM, participants meet at Healy’s Tavern, located at 374 Newark Avenue. On Wednesdays at 7PM, the group meets at the Lincoln Park Track. On Sundays at 8AM, the club meets at Grind Coffee Shop, located at 360 Communipaw Avenue. Jersey City Runners Club

Jersey City Runners is a local running group that is open to all. The group provides a supportive and positive environment for running with opportunities every day of the week, and members represent all levels of the running spectrum, regardless of running pace. From carpooling to NYRR races to social events at local pubs around Jersey City, the team works to build all of our members as they work toward their fitness goals. On The Run Club

On The Run Club was founded by fitness trainer Nicole DeSena. This club meets every Saturday at 9:30AM at Gussy’s Cafe, located at 292 Newark Avenue, Jersey City. All running levels are welcome.

sam a.m. Running Club

First established in 2021, the sam a.m. Running Club meets every Wednesday at 6:30AM outside sam a.m.’s 112 Morris Street location, welcoming all to join the weekly group runs that end with free water and sam a.m. coffee at the cafe.

NJ Walk ‘N’ Run Club | North New Jersey

NJ Walk ‘N’ Run Club was founded by the duo Jaz and Kami. This group hosts walks, runs, and community events like get-togethers and brunches throughout the year at various Northern New Jersey locations, including Hoboken, Jersey City, Bloomfield, and more. The Run Club USA | Weehawken

Skyline Run Club | Weehawken

Skyline Run Club welcomes runners of all levels and provides athletes with high-quality, consistent training intended to improve the mind and body. Throughout the year, the club meets weekly in Weehawken, where members take part in either speed sessions on the track or venturing out on endurance runs along the NYC skyline on the Weehawken side.
