The 2025 National Hockey League playoffs kick off this weekend and our hometown team — the New Jersey Devils — are set to take on the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round. If you can’t make it to the Prudential Center, there are a few bars in Hoboken that have great atmospheres for catching a game — and if you can make it to a game in Newark but are looking for a Mile Square bar to have some drinks afterward, these spots are also a good option. You can take the PATH from Newark Penn Station to Journal Square and then Uber to Hoboken, or take NJ Transit directly to Hoboken with a transfer in Secaucus.
