Good pizza is basically a religion in New Jersey and being able to get a slice from a local favorite is a statewide pastime. However, not every pizzeria serves up The Garden State’s best food group by the slice. Whether you eat it folded, with a fork and knife (we are only judging you a little) or cold the next morning, enjoying a slice of pizza is an activity to be savored. We are rounding up the pizza spots in Hoboken providing just a slice of the pie. Read on to learn more about where to grab a slice or two in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza | 96 Hudson Street
Artichoke Basille’s Pizza first made a name for itself in New York City before coming to The Mile Square in 2017. This pizza joint serves up larger-than-average pizza slices in eight varieties — with its signature artichoke slice being the most popular. The artichoke slice ($8.05) is truly a meal on its own as it’s piled with artichokes, mozzarella cheese, spinach, a cream sauce, and pecorino cheese. There are other specialty options like the Crab Pie ($8.05) or Staten Island Pie ($8.05), to name a few.

On Fridays and Saturdays, pick up and delivery are available until 3AM. Basile’s has a wide variety of options for customers to enjoy at all hours of the day.
Benny Tudino’s | 622 Washington Street
Legend has it that Benny Tudino’s has the largest slice in New Jersey. And while some may fight us on that, it’s definitely the largest slice in Hoboken. When getting pizza by the slice, just one slice is a full meal. There are even photos of babies who are smaller than a slice of pizza. This quintessential Hoboken location is familiar to locals and visitors alike. The establishment has been around for 50 years and is still going strong. Slices start at $5 per Benny Tudino’s website.

Hot House Pizza | 606 2nd Street

Imposto’s | 102 Washington Street
Imposto’s is a Hoboken classic, and it’s right in the action of downtown Hoboken, making it a great stop for a slice. Just like the “Hoboken, No Jokin,” sign suggests, Imposto’s doesn’t mess around when it comes to great flavor and quality. Stop in for one of the slices (starting at $4.25) and choose from traditional options like cheese and pepperoni or go for a specialty topping like Mike’s Hot Honey, pesto, or chicken parm. For those who are gluten-free, Imposto’s also has a cauliflower crust option.
Mario’s Classic Pizza | 742 Garden Street
This family-owned spot has been slingin’ pies since 1985. We can’t get enough of the Mario’s team’s goofy Instagram account, which shows just what it’s like to work with your family. But there’s a reason this pizza shop is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year: the delicious pizza. Pizza by the slice here is $3.75 for a classic cheese, $3.75 for a thin pan slice, $4.25 for a thick Sicilian slice, and $5 for a gourmet slice. Additional toppings are $0.50 each.
Napoli’s | 1118 Washington Street + 133 Clinton Street
This Hoboken staple is a go-to for Italian eats — it’s known for its delicious pizza, next-level garlic knots, many different types of pasta dishes, and more. At this spot, a plain slice costs $2.50 with cash ($2.70 with credit card), and specialty slices go for $3.50.
Old Lorenzo’s | 301 Jackson Street
Old Lorenzo’s Pizza has been a staple in Hoboken for years. Located on 3rd and Jackson, this is a neighborhood classic for locals and while the spot specializes in large orders, stopping by for a slice is a great move. Many of the staff members have been a part of the operation for over 15 years and make some of the best slices in town. Slices are available here, starting with plain for $4 each, with additional toppings available for $1 per topping.
Otok Bakery | 506 Grand Street
Hear us out: this isn’t a pizza in the traditional sense, but a wood-fired French bread pizza is too good to exclude from this list. Otok opened in the former Dom’s Bakery location, perhaps best known as being Frank Sinatra’s favorite bread. So naturally, the 120-year-old coal-fed oven is sprinkled with a little bit of culinary magic. Locals can grab a slice of buffalo chicken pizza for $4 or a pepperoni focaccia for $5.50.
Pizzeria Hoboken | 732 Jackson Street
Pizzeria Hoboken can be found on the corner of 7th and Jackson under the green awning. This location is known for its hot slices of both traditional and Grandma pies. Customers can choose from traditional slices (starting at $4) or interesting specialities like artisan vodka chicken, truffle mushroom or penne alla vodka pizza.
Pizza Republic | 406 Washington Street
