On Thursday, July 31st, a small kitchen fire occurred at the Tony Boloney’s restaurant, located at 263 1st Street in Hoboken. Emergency responders were on the scene in the late afternoon, putting out the fire, with ladders to access the roof of the building.  The Hoboken location is temporarily closed while it undergoes repairs, but the Jersey City location remains open, with takeout and delivery available. Read on for more about the fire and when the restaurant is anticipated to reopen.

The Kitchen Fire

Tony Boloney’s shared with The Hoboken Girl directly that there was a small kitchen fire at its 263 1st Street location. “No one hurt, now just need to fix what was broken/burnt and get back open!”

An anonymous HG reader sent this photo of the response. Photo used with permission.

The owners also updated the restaurant’s website with the same information, noting that Jersey City delivery and dining-in would be available.

More About Tony Boloney’s

Founder Mike Hauke began with a small bodega-style deli/convenience store in Atlantic City around 2008, catering to local construction workers building the Revel Casino at that time. In 2009, Hauke created the brand around Tony Boloney’s, like pizza and subs, and quickly rose to fame. He won Guy Fieri’s Cheesesteak Battle and has been featured on numerous TV outlets, including Food NetworkTravel Channel, and NBC. A few years back, TB’s went viral for its Taco Pizza — a brisket-filled pie covered in tacos, creama, guac, and tortillas. It also has a plethora of vegan and gluten-free options.
