We take breakfast seriously here in the Garden State. When we’re not indulging in BECs or TECs, we’re eating bagels. Mile Square bagel lovers may be pleased to hear that a new breakfast spot serving all things bagels has soft opened on Washington Street. Located in the former Jerrell’s Betr Brgr space at 324 Washington Street, Apollo Bagels is a New York City-based shop that has just crossed the Hudson River to open its first New Jersey outpost. The Hoboken Outpost
After first announcing its arrival in the Mile Square in November 2024, the NYC bagel shop Apollo Bagels is now soft open as of Monday, October 6th. The Washington Street outpost marks the franchise’s fifth location and its first in New Jersey. The Hoboken store is currently open from 7AM-3PM Monday through Thursday, and will eventually open on weekends from 7AM-5PM.
Bagels are this franchise’s entire brand, which means the menu features bagels galore. The options include plain, sesame, and everything. Customers can pair their bagel of choice with jam, butter, or three different kinds of cream cheese: plain, scallion, or vegan.

The menu also includes bagel sandwiches, such as the Bagel with Whitefish (toasted bagel topped with whitefish salad, crisp cucumber, pickled pickles, mustard, and dill), Bagel with Smoked Salmon (a crisp bagel layered with smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onion, dill, olive oil, and seasoning), and Bagel with Tomato (toasted bagel topped with cream cheese, vine‑ripe tomato slices, olive oil, and seasoning).
