With the season of outdoor-friendly weather in full swing, Hoboken and Jersey City fitness gurus are lacing up their sneakers and taking to the streets to get in their cardio fix. (P.S. There are over 15 running clubs in the Hudson County area for both running experts and newbies to join.) In running-related news, Jersey City has welcomed a new refueling outpost where fitness enthusiasts can mingle with like-minded people, enjoy nourishing eats + drinks, and recharge after a long day of heart-pumping exercise. RUN/Café, the Grind Society’s official community space, is a fueling station, wellness center, and breakfast spot, located at 1000 Garfield Avenue in Jersey City’s Berry Lane Park. About RUN/Café
Summer 2025 is all about hitting the pavement, and a new community spot, made for runners by runners, has recently opened in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood of JC. Enter RUN/Café, a new refueling station, wellness space, and eatery affiliated with The Grind. This marks the third business concept under The Grind Umbrella, as the brand owns The Grind Society, a JC-based running club, and Grind Coffee Shop, a coffee spot located at 293 Suydam Avenue.
The business announced its arrival via social media in March 2025 and soft-opened in late April. Since then, it has participated in various marathons and community events and served as a multi-purpose space for local businesses and wellness-related practices. Chef + Creative Consultant Quinn Griffin shared with The Hoboken Girl that the space aims to be the “physical home for [The Grind Society’s] community wellness initiative.”

As a part of this initiative, RUN/Café recently partnered with Soul Therapy Studios to provide all kinds of wellness programming, including yoga + meditation classes, curated pop-up events, and featured products from the plant retail store Urban Oasis.

Quinn is RUN/Café’s official chef. The eatery’s menu is still being developed. For now, Quinn encourages Jersey City locals to try one of the cafe’s artisan breakfast sandwiches, which, he says, “have become the cafe’s highlight and star offering so far.”
