Amanda’s is an Upscale American restaurant that also serves both dinner and brunch in a lovely brownstone from 1895. Amanda’s has lots of options for personalized parties with five different private dining rooms that accommodate eight to 88 guests. Anthony David’s has been a part of the Hoboken community for over 25 years. This spot has an expansive menu of brunch and dinner options and also serves fun cocktails. The Brass Rail is a great choice for any kind of event, be it a personal or professional one. This upscale American restaurant has two separate private areas to match your party needs. For a more laid-back, casual event, the bistro area is the way to go. It comes with both a bar with wines and spirits, as well as a raw bar packed with shellfish. Carpe Diem | 1405 Grand Street
For those looking for more of an intimate party venue, this is the place to go. There’s a private room hidden away upstairs that can be set up like a traditional dinner party or arranged with a dance floor for more of a party vibe. For parties greater than 20 people, it also includes a full-service bar with a personal bartender. Food is served buffet style and includes lots of hand-held eats and American dishes. City Bistro is an Italian-American restaurant, bar, lounge, and rooftop. With fun cocktails, appetizers, ‘sammies,’ flatbreads, vegan options, and more, City Bistro is a crowd-pleaser. A local fan favorite, City Bistro has two options to host a private event: a sit-down prix-fixe option or buffet style for bigger parties. Del Frisco’s Grille | 221 River Street
Whether it’s for a celebration or a corporate event, Del Frisco’s has both private and semi-private dining options to help make the night special. This wine bar and Italian kitchen aims to capture the spirit of Italian cooking and wine in a warm and hospitable environment. With cheeses, meats, homemade pasta, and more, this spot is a great option for traditional Italian fare. Those of us who have stayed out late enough have probably seen Willie McBride’s limo. The private room here has space for a minimum of 10 people — or the party can be as large as 350 people. The prices range from $25 to $35 per person depending on the party option you choose, and there are food catering options as well. Of course, the party rental comes with a free limo ride, so you’ll be escorted to your event in style. If you want to host your party here, there is a private room that comes with your own bartender and can be rented out for three hours at a time. Zeppelin Hall | 88 Liberty View Drive
Probably one of the most well-known bars in JC, Zeppelin Hall has spaces for private parties in both the indoor and outdoor areas. If you’re planning on having a big gathering, this is a great option as it has fast bites, huge beers, and cocktails. While there’s no rental fee for booking the private room, which comes with a private bar, there is a minimum spend of $2,500 for food and drinks combined. This can accommodate up to 125 people. If you decide on the main hall, another room option, the minimum spend is $500 and it can accommodate up to 40 people.
