There’s a new studio kitchen in the Mile Square. Atelier Sucré provides recreational French baking and cooking classes at 720 Monroe Street in the Monroe Center in Hoboken. The studio recently opened and welcomes students of all experience levels and provides all the equipment and tools necessary to create French pastries and baked goods. Among its most popular classes is the Bake Your Own French Croissant class. Other classes include gluten-free French macarons, French tarts and madeleines, and savory options like New York bagels and homemade pasta and pizza. Classes are also BYOB, and private events and birthday parties can also be booked at this venue.
Baking Mama | 88 Hudson Street
Baking Mama is a family-owned small batch bakeshop in Hoboken with a “focus on quality, patience, passion, faith and a dash of creativity.” Baking Mama occasionally hosts classes for children like the No-Bake Delights Class and summer camp classes. Some of the summer camp classes included cookies and macarons and cake, cupcakes, and frosting.

Its nut-free production kitchen is located at the Monroe Center in Hoboken and hosts a variety of cookie classes to suit every age and interest. The 90-minute cookie making and decorating classes for kids (ages five and up) take place every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30PM-5PM. The studio also hosts adult classes occasionally paired with mixology or wine tastings as well as birthday parties and private events. Hudson Table has cooking and baking classes for all ages. There are themed classes like Handmade Pasta, Osteria Toscana, Cruising the Mediterranean, Modern Italian, Gaucho Grilling, and more. Also available are fun events like couples’ date nights and chef competitions where two chefs face off in a three-course battle, Iron Chef style. For little foodies, there are kids’ after-school classes that run from January to June. These classes are booked as a series for the entire spring season. One-time classes are also available on holidays like Columbus Day and Martin Luther King Day when schools are closed.
