Carol Ann’s Table | 333 Palisade Avenue
This cozy BYOB spot is run by Jersey City local Andrew Ifill, the chef and owner. Carol Ann, the namesake of the restaurant, is Andrew’s grandmother. Carol Ann’s Table is open for dinner Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. With only four tables and a menu focused on comforting classics like roasted chicken, short ribs, and the standout Carol Ann’s burger, it feels like a visit to Grandma’s house. Team HG recently visited and will return soon for another taste of the banana pudding — classic Grandma cuisine.
Gourmet Market at Box Cafe | 115 Palisade Avenue
Event space and French-influenced restaurant Box Cafe has been a Heights neighbor for many years, and this summer it will add a new pop-up Gourmet Market. The Market will run from Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM to 3PM. Shoppers can pick up baked goods, candy, gifts, freshly prepared food to-go, and more.
