This weekend, Vito’s Italian Deli is showcasing some behind-the-scenes magic with a mozzarella-making class in collaboration with The Hoboken Shelter. This one-of-a-kind afternoon class, held on Saturday, October 25th, at 4PM, has only ten spots available to learn from one of Hoboken’s most storied businesses. Read on for more information on Vito’s collaborative class in Hoboken and the cause it supports.
A Class for a Cause
The Hoboken Shelter has recently launched a “Cooking With Heart” series, allowing volunteers to learn cooking techniques from local chefs. The next installment is a class with Chef Vito Buzzerio of the local favorite Vito’s Italian Deli, where participants can observe his mutz-making techniques and understand the magic behind the deli’s dishes. The class will be held on Saturday, October 25th, at 4PM at the shelter.

Vito’s is one of Hoboken’s most storied delis with nearly 40 years of history in the city. This kind of collaboration is rare for them to engage with, meaning participants will experience a never-before-seen breakdown of their culinary process. Considering the Cooking With Heart series changes its collaborator with each rendition, it is unlikely that Vito will appear at the shelter again, making this opportunity even more special. With only ten spots available for participants, availability is limited.
Participants can register with a $40 donation towards the shelter’s resources. Those interested should email the Hoboken Shelter’s team at [email protected] to set up registration.
