About Giovanni’s
According to new signage at 603 Washington Street, G3 Greens, Goods, & Grill is taking over the former Giovanni’s location. Giovanni’s was a family-owned pizzeria serving the Hoboken community for 23 years, announcing its closure on its Instagram on December 24th, 2024. The restaurant shared that it was “unable to agree to terms on a new lease,” but thanked the community for its support over its two-decade run. Giovanni’s was a block away from Stevens Institute of Technology and was a campus favorite during its 23-year-long run.

Giovanni’s served Italian American food, including pizza, pasta, and subs. The spot featured indoor and outdoor seating. The aesthetic felt like a classic Hoboken Italian pizzeria with booth seating and a large brick oven behind the counter.
G3 Greens, Goods, & Grill
According to the G3 website, the new spot will serve as a convenience store with a fresh kitchen. G3 is designed for the health-conscious individual with a busy lifestyle. Work/health balance is something the G3 team prioritizes, advertising “crisp salads and juicy burgers to refreshing smoothies and everyday essentials.”
On its About us page on their website, G3 describes the spot as “designed with the urban lifestyle in mind, G3 offers quick stool seating for short stops, warm lighting, and a vibrant atmosphere. It’s not just a store—it’s your go-to neighborhood spot for fuel, flavor, and freshness.” G3 believes that speed and convenience shouldn’t sacrifice nutrition and taste. The sign on the door advertises snacks, salads, juices, smoothies, burgers, fries, and wings.
Located at 603 Washington Street, G3 will provide convenient, quick services for commuters on the go, runners and walkers alike, students, and anyone in the mood for something quick and health-conscious. The space is still under renovation, but neighbors can sign up for updates online. The Hoboken Girl has reached out to the team for more information and will update this piece when we hear back.
