On the morning of May 30th, a pedestrian was struck by a New Jersey Transit bus near a park in North Bergen. The investigation is still ongoing. Read on for what we know so far about this incident.

The Details

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a New Jersey Transit bus at the intersection of Bergenline Avenue and Boulevard East in North Bergen on the morning of Friday, May 30th. The individual’s identity has not been released, but they were pronounced dead at the scene, according to a social media post made by HudPost.

It has not yet been revealed if the pedestrian was at the crosswalk at the time.

The Station Hoboken

This occurred near the entrance of James J. Braddock North Hudson County Park around 5:30AM, where emergency responders apprehended the scene. The investigation is ongoing as of this writing, but, according to New 12 New Jersey, the roads near North Hudson Park have reopened.
