Hoboken community members will have the chance to hear from the City’s Public Safety Divisions, as well as provide their own input at a public safety forum tonight. The Hoboken Public Safety Department is hosting its next CAPS (Community and Public Safety) Forum today, Wednesday, June 11th.
The forum will take place from 6PM-7:30PM at the Wallace Elementary School cafeteria (enter through the playground), located at 1100 Willow Avenue in Hoboken. It was announced via a Nixle alert on May 28th.
Representatives from the Hoboken’s five Public Safety Divisions — Police, Fire, Office of Emergency Management (OEM), EMS, and Health — will be attending the event and hosting short presentations. The presentations will be followed by a town-hall style conversation and Q+A session.
While these meetings are held regularly, this next public safety forum comes just a few days after a string of robberies were reported in Hoboken over the weekend. Read our coverage about the incidents here.
