Hoboken has over 40 coffee shops and counting, but one thing it did not have (till now!), is a pickle shop. So when a savvy reader snapped this and sent it to us earlier this summer, we had to share ASAP. Now open in the former barbershop space next to The Roost, Pickle Joy is located on 1st Street in Hoboken.

The Details
The windows were papered up at the small storefront on 1st Street back in July when we first reported on it. The sign read, “Pickle Joy,” noting “Old World Style Pickles from Our Family to Yours.” Hours on the signage appear to be Monday through Saturday 9-5PM, Sunday 11-6PM.

A newly-created Instagram account is all the info we had at the time: @picklejoyllc, with a phone number 551-222-9054 listed as well. Frank Gomez is listed on the Instagram account as the owner.
Now, Pickle Joy is open in Hoboken as of Tuesday, August 19th.
