bwè kafe’s 1401 Adams Street location (just across from the Uptown Farmers Market) is a large-scale space with lots of seating for its patrons. The relaxed, ethical trade coffee shop has breakfast and lunch essentials, coffee creations, and even a small retail space to enjoy. Jefferson’s Coffee has a laid-back setting with indoor seating for work-from-homers. The coffee shop serves pastries, hot and iced coffees, and espresso drinks with plenty of flavors to choose from. Gotan | 770 Jackson Street
Gotan in Hoboken is a massive warehouse-like space that has transformed into a two-story coffee house. This location has no shortage of seating and is often bustling with customers, sipping on coffee or Mediterranean fare. Gotan is open daily from 8AM-5PM. HG tip: WiFi here can be spotty, so it’s best to prepare to use your phone as a hotspot.
The Hive | 1000 Park Avenue
The Hive is an iconic coffee (and cinnamon roll) staple in Hoboken, where locals are invited to sip, shop, and stay. The coffee shop has tons of specialty drinks to choose from, and plenty of window seats to work from. The Hive is open on weekdays from 7AM-5PM and on weekends from 8AM-4PM.
Mojo Coffee Company | 801 Bloomfield Street
Mojo Coffee Company’s 801 Bloomfield Street location serves as a solid work-from-home outpost when not too busy. The coffee shop is loved by New Jerseyans and has specialty drinks like the Funfetti Iced Latte and Coconut Joy Latte. Green Pear Cafe is back after being reopened by two Hoboken firefighters. Since its reemergence back in March of 2025, the cafe has expanded with a menu full of treats like Cacio e Pepe Toast, Italian Melt, or the French Toast Sandwich. Besides a stellar menu, Green Pear Cafe also makes for a relaxed environment to stay and work on your laptop. Green Pear Cafe is closed on Mondays and open Sunday through Tuesday from 8AM-3PM.
Hey Coffee People | 103 Garden Street
Hey Coffee People has brought Mile Square residents together since opening its doors back in 2023. The family-owned coffee hub is a warm and friendly space that also serves as a great remote working station. With window seats and a communal table, Hey Coffee People is a terrific spot to share a cup with friends or fly solo. Canard Cafe Bar | 200 Greene Street
Canard Cafe is attached to the residential URBY building in Jersey City. The trendy plant-filled interior alone is enough to catch the attention of locals. The Hive’s second location opened in Hamilton Park in the spring of 2024, creating excitement among locals. The popular coffee spot has a brightly colored, trendy interior with window seats and tables. Outdoors, you can also find seating for an outdoor remote work session. Bluestone Lane lands a spot on our work-from-home list thanks to its abundance of seating. Both indoors and out, patrons can pull up a chair, plug in, and sit for hours while sipping a smoothie, coffee, or indulging in a sweet treat. Lil’ Dove Cafe | 589 Palisade Avenue
Lil’ Dove Cafe may just be the most aesthetically pleasing cafe in Jersey City Heights. Griot Cafe | 398 Central Avenue
Griot Cafe may be home to one of Jersey City’s most-loved Caribbean sandwiches (according to its Instagram), but the coffee shop and eatery also doubles as an ideal work-from-home location with colorful artwork and an inviting feel.
